Release 2.4

Bug-fix and new features in the stable version (release 2008-10-13)

Many thanks to the MONOLIX users who sent us several valuable comments and remarks about the beta version!
We tried to take into account most of these comments.

1) MLXTRAN:

  • use of the IF statement
  • new keywords: P1, P2, ... are proportions used to split doses into several compartments
  • the section $DOSE is not necessary anymore: TDOSE, AMT, TINF are default keywords
  • For a ODE's defined model, the system remains at the equilibrium state until T0

  • 2) Libraries:
  • The PKe0 library (PK models with effect compartment) is complete, including nonlinear elimination
  • A first VK (viral kinetics) library contains some basic models written with MLXTRAN

  • 3) The individual fits are displayed after running SAEM, together with the population distributions of the parameters.

    4) The spaghetti plot displays a summary of the dataset (number of subjets, doses, measurments, BQL,...)

    5) The MCMC algorithm used for models with IOV has been improved

    6) Several bugs have been fixed

    Bug-fix in the release 2008-07-30

    1) SYSTEM: some possible conflicts with the system path are prevented,

    2) MLXTRAN:
bugfix for analytic models with doses,
the $DOSE Section is not required, even for PK models,
the keywords for the outputs are now OUTPUT1, OUTPUT2, ... (instead of F1, F2, which will be reserved keywords for the bioavailability in a next version),

    3) INTERFACE:
Printing figures with the Standalone version is OK,
bugfix for the settings (pop. param. estimation),
activation of the "see" button (to dispay the datafile),

    4) ALGORITHMS:
the datafile can now contains several patients without any observations,
the MCMC algorithms is improved for estimating the individual parameters when there is no inter-patient variability for some parameters,
the automatic choice of the number of iterations in SAEM is improved,
some errors in the 3 compartments PK library are fixed.

New features in the release 2008-07-11

    1) MLXTRAN: a "NMTRAN-like" interpretor for user defined models, with auto-build and compile.
MLXTRAN can be used with the Windows stand-alone version of MONOLIX,

    2) categorical covariates,

    3) inter-occasion variability (IOV),

    4) 3 compartments PK models and effect compartment models,

    5) numbers of iterations of SAEM specified by the user or adaptively adjusted by the algorithm,

    6) population distributions of the parameters aredisplayed and some statistics are computed (mean, median, mode, percentiles,...),

    7) several population distributions of the parameters can be used (normal, log-normal, logit, probit, user defined,...),

    8) several button of the main MONOLIX window have been replaced by a toolbar,

    9) the settings of the different algorithms are displayed in different windows,

    10) Versions : Windows/Unix/MacOs
